  Janette Longshaw (Founder)

 

Janette (Jen) Longshaw was born in Dannevirke but now lives in rural Central Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. She wasn't diagnosed with EDS until she was 23 after many years of fruitless doctors' visits and began the support group in May 1995. Her interests include reading, writing, music, painting, animals, gardening, spinning and the computer.

       Peter Thompson

 

 

Peter Thompson was born in Timaru and currently lives in Pareora in the South Island. He worked as a law clerk for thirteen years. His hobbies are fishing, shooting, whitebaiting and sport. His motto is that there is always someone worse off than yourself.

          Fay Horne

 

 

Fay is in her mid-sixties and her Ehlers-Danlos was misdiagnosed as Cutis Laxa until 18 years ago. She has two sons with Ehlers-Danlos and three grandchildren who fortunately appear to be clear at this time. She is interested in reading, crosswords, knitting, and at the moment is trying to improve her computer skills. She also helps with the Arthritis exercise and Hydrotherapy groups in Napier.
